Minecraft 1.21.1 has a large modding community, so many players ask when Tinkers' Construct 1.21.1 will be ready. This page summarises what SlimeKnights has published and how to check the current state yourself.
Release plans change. Always confirm on the official project page before building a pack around a version.
The current main version
According to the SlimeKnights FAQ, 1.20.1 is the primary supported version. The file we link — Tinkers' Construct 3.11.2.166 — is a 1.20.1 build for Forge and NeoForge. The FAQ says 1.20.1 will move to long-term support once the team's main focus shifts.
The 1.21.1 plan
The FAQ describes the order of work for the next version:
- Finish the current focus on 1.20.1.
- Port Mantle and Metalborn to NeoForge 1.21.1.
- Then port Tinkers' Construct to 1.21.1.
It also says that Forge support will likely be dropped in 1.21.1, so the official 1.21.1 build is expected to be NeoForge-only. If you plan to move to 1.21.1, NeoForge is the loader to choose.
Unofficial 1.21.1 ports
Some community developers have published unofficial 1.21.1 ports. These are not made or supported by SlimeKnights, may be incomplete, and can behave differently from the official mod. Treat them as experiments, keep backups, and report problems to their authors.
How to check for new files
- Open the Tinkers' Construct project page on CurseForge or Modrinth and go to Files or Versions.
- Filter by game version 1.21.1.
- On CurseForge, alpha builds are hidden by default; the FAQ notes you can use View all or Show alpha files to see them.
- Check that a matching Mantle build exists for the same version.
Planning a modpack
If you want Tinkers today with full support, build on 1.20.1. If you need 1.21.1 for other mods, keep Tinkers out until an official build appears, or accept the risks of an unofficial port. Either way, read our install guide and the loader comparison before you start.
